In 2009, Conservation International asked us to dramatize the message that our planet’s ecosystems were being destroyed. At the time, the economy happened to be suffering greatly. Countless businesses had gone under, resulting in an unprecedented number of vacant retail spaces. We decided to leverage these vacant storefronts as a low-cost medium to underscore the eco-logical devastation by comparing it to the surrounding economic devastation.
The campaign was recognized by the One Show Annual and won Gold and Silver ADDY awards.
Messages were posted in the downtown areas of San Francisco, New York City and Washington D.C.
